How would you improve the working conditions of academics? How should the terms and conditions of employment for academics be developed?
We are now collecting our members’ varied real-life experiences to support the upcoming round of collective agreement negotiations.
The Finnish Union of University Researchers and Teachers will be negotiating the general collective agreement for universities in spring 2022. We will also participate in the public and private sector negotiations through our Akava negotiation organisations JUKO and YTN. Our members work under several different collective agreements.
We will draft our negotation aims based on the needs and wishes of our members. You can take part in the discussion and share your thoughts and hopes regardless of the sector you work in. You can participate in both online co-working and our discussion event.
The online co-working platfom (Howspace) is open for our members between 27 September and 8 October 2021, and a Teams discussion event will be held on 5 October 2021 at 4–6 p.m. Feel free to participate in either one or both forms of discussion. The languages used are Finnish and English.
