University of Vaasa has announced about change negotiations concerning all personnel. In a press release, the university says that in addition to cutting costs, it is also considering adjusting staff costs and making changes to the university’s organisation. The university estimates that the plans under discussion could result in up to the dismissal of up to 35 employees.
Negotiation Organisation for Public Sector Professionals JUKO represents FUURT members in the negotiations. FUURT is included the background group, that gathers regularly to support the negotiators. JUKO shop stewards support all FUURT members during the negotiations, and the deputy shop steward in the University of Vaasa is Sunna Vainiomaa. Negotiations are on pause until July and will resume in August.
