Uniarts Helsinki to begin change negotiations on 11 March 2024 – FUURT included in JUKO’s background group

The University of the Arts Helsinki (Uniarts Helsinki) has announced change negotiations concerning all personnel. The first negotiating meeting will take place on 11 March 2024. The financial and production-related change negotiations will continue at least until the end of May. The university is aiming at savings of 2.5 million euros by the end of 2028. The calculated target for savings is the reduction of 55 person-years, and tentatively, 25 person-years concern the academic staff and 30 person-years concern the service personnel. The university says in its press release that the aim is to avoid dismissals.

Negotiation Organisation for Public Sector Professionals JUKO represents FUURT members in the negotiations. FUURT is involved in the background group, and the background group gathers before every negotiation meeting. JUKO shop stewards support all FUURT members during the negotiations, and the deputy shop steward in Uniarts Helsinki is Sara Leppänen.
