Survey for early career researchers – participate by 15 January

Greetings early career researcher!

We invite you to respond to the union’s survey for early career researchers. With the study, we aim to find out about the working conditions of early career researchers operating in Finland in different forms of funding, livelihoods, career prospects, mobility experiences and the supervision of doctoral education and dissertations.

The survey is intended for PhD candidates working on their dissertations in all disciplines as well as for researchers with a doctoral degree completed no more than four (4) years ago.

The survey for early career researchers is a key source of information for the union’s advocacy work. The previous survey for early career researchers was conducted in 2017 and 1870 responses were received then. Now we hope you can spare us about 15–20 minutes of your time by responding to this survey. Every response is important!

Responding to the survey does not require you to be a member of the Finnish Union of University Researchers and Teachers. You can respond in Finnish, Swedish or English.

We are conducting the survey with Aula Research. Responses will be treated in the strictest confidence and the results will be reported anonymously as average values.

Among the participants, we draw lots for two Jopo bicycles and two 6-month gift cards for the Storytel audio and e-book service!

Send your responses by 15 January 2021. The results of the survey will be published in the spring 2021.
