The survey for early-career researchers by the Finnish Union of University Researchers and Teachers (FUURT) is ongoing until March 12.
FUURT is conducting this survey to gather information on the working life and career prospects of early-career researchers in Finland, supporting its advocacy work. The survey examines the following areas pertaining to early career researchers in Finland: working based on different funding sources, livelihood, career prospects, and experiences in the scientific and work community, as well as the supervision of dissertation.
The survey is intended for doctoral researchers in all fields and researchers who graduated with a doctorate within the past four years. Membership in FUURT is not required to participate. The survey is available in both Finnish and English, and the deadline for responses is March 12, 2024.
The results from earlier surveys have attracted great interest from, for example, universities and the Ministry of Education and Culture. The 2020 survey revealed areas where improvement is still needed in the working conditions and orientation of early-career researchers. You can explore the report from the previous survey titled ‘ At A Career Crossroads: Survey for Early Career Researchers Conducted by FUURT In 2020–2021‘ here.
The 2024 survey is being conducted through co-operation with the Research Foundation for Studies and Education Otus sr. All responses will be processed with absolute confidentiality and the results will be reported anonymously based on averages.
The respondents of the survey may participate in a drawing for 3 sets of Finnkino movie vouchers (each set of 4 tickets is valued at €53).
