We are excited to share that Helsinki Pride Week 2025 is just around the cornerâand we would be honored to have you join us in this yearâs celebrations! Pride Week is more than a series of events; it is a powerful expression of visibility, solidarity, and joy for the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.
The week will feature a vibrant program of activities, including a working life event hosted by Akava as one of Pride partners (the Confederation of Unions for Professional and Managerial Staff in Finland)Â together with SAK and STTK.

Join the Helsinki Pride Parade 2025
Date: Saturday, June 28, 2025
Meeting Point: Senate Square (at 11:30 AM, behind a flag marked Akava, SAK, and STTK)
Parade Start: 12:00 PM from Senate Square, Helsinki
The Helsinki Pride Parade is a colorful, impactful, and loud demonstration in support of equality and diversity. In 2024, over 100,000 people participatedâletâs make this year even bigger!
This year, TieteentekijĂ€t and local union association members are warmly invited to march together. TieteentekijĂ€t – Research professionals flags and signs will be available for those who wish to carry them. Light refreshments will also be provided.
