Members of the Union of Research Professionals are insured with Chubb. Do you know in which situations the union’s travel insurance protects you?

Travel insurance provides security in case of accidents or illness during the trip, or if the trip is cancelled or interrupted. The insurance also covers damages to travel belongings.

The insurance is valid for trips lasting at least overnight and extending more than 50 kilometers from the insured’s home, workplace, place of study, or holiday residence. Travel insurance is also valid when you combine a business trip with a leisure trip.

See below for compensation examples.

Travel Insurance

The insured was skiing and fell while leaving the lift, twisting their knee. As a result of the accident, Chubb has covered the costs of medical visits, including examinations such as MRI scans, as well as physiotherapy sessions. So far, approximately 3,000 euros have been paid in compensation.

Travel Belongings Insurance

The insured was on holiday taking a photo, and when putting the phone back in the bag, it fell to the ground and broke, becoming unusable. Chubb covered the repair costs of the device, which were 180 euros. There is no deductible in the travel belongings insurance.
