Experiences of international members of Tampere Universities: Survey report and recommendations workshop

Join us on Friday, May 13 (14:00-16:00), as we release the report of our survey on the experiences of international members of Tampere Universities, and help us draft recommendations for improved practices and representation.

The Tampere University Association of Researchers and Teachers (TATTE), in collaboration with the Tampere University chapter of the Finnish Union of University Professors, recently conducted a survey on the experiences of international researchers, teachers, and staff of Tampere universities. During our previous online event on February 11, we discussed preliminary survey results and began valuable discussions with interested members of the Tampere universities’ community.

This follow-up event aims to facilitate a broader discussion around the survey report and the experiences and ideas that participants bring to the event. Participants will get a chance to share their experiences (anonymously or not), discuss ideas with their colleagues, and directly contribute to forming a set of recommendations to be presented to the universities.

We encourage you to bring a friend! As the survey has shown, the experiences of international members concern the universities’ community as a whole, so everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. Presentations will be in English, but the survey report will be available in both English and Finnish, and we have arranged English-Finnish interpreters during the event to ensure a comfortable language environment for all. Refreshments will be available.

Flinga will be used for additional written discussion and anonymous comments.
