Tampere University Association of Researchers and Teachers, i.e. TATTE, is the trade union of the academic employees of Tampere University.

TATTE represents the interests of the researchers and teachers and other academic experts regardless of their sources of income or funding. TATTE has more than 600 members: PhD researchers, postdoctoral researchers, university researchers, university lecturers, teachers, assistants, grant researchers, unemployed people and pensioners.

TATTE promotes the interests of its members and defends the conditions of academic work. We advocate for fair and decent working opportunities and for clear, transparent, and democratic decision-making and operating practices at the university. We especially seek to ensure the status of grant researchers, the position of early career and international academics, and the prospects of unemployed academics in the labour market.
