Academic self-defense course

Do you know the terms and conditions of your employment? How is your salary determined? When can teachers and researchers with total working time take their annual holidays? Which costs are reimbursed for business travel or while working abroad? What should you take into account when you start working as a project researcher? Do you have copyrights to your teaching materials? What are the rights and duties of grant researchers? What do you need to know if you become unemployed?

Tampere University Association of Researchers and Teachers (Tatte) arranges an academic self-defence course open to everyone working at the university, including grant researchers, on Thursday, 12 October 2023, from 2:00-4:00pm. The event is arranged in Lyhty F001 behind Päätalo on the city centre campus. A similar course will be held in Finnish on 27 September 2023.

Pre-registration is required, and it is open until Friday 6 October. In the registration form, please submit any questions you want addressed at the event to Chief Shop Steward Sinikka Torkkola who is responsible for the course.
