HUART’s Board
The Board is made up of HUART members: researchers, teachers and academic professionals from across the University of Helsinki, elected by members to lead our union locally. We meet regularly to set the association’s direction and plan activities for members. We’re also the link between members here at the University and Tieteentekijät nationally.
As a Board, we’re guided by three shared values: solidarity, courage and purposefulness.
How the Board works
The Board has a Chair, 11 members and up to five deputy members. Each member serves a two-year term, and elections are held every year at our Autumn General Meeting in November. At the start of each year, the Board elects two Vice-Chairs and a Treasurer from among its members.
