TATTE organizes a May Day event on 30th April at 12-14 in front of Pinni B, city center campus, or if it is raining, in Lyhty (located in the backyard of Päätalo).
The event will feature speeches from Senior Research Fellow and chief shop steward Sinikka Torkkola on “People at university deserve better” (in Finnish) and from grant researcher Mikko Poutanen on “Anti-science attitudes on the rise: academic freedom at risk” (in English) . We’ll be operating flexibly in Finnish and English, and active members of TATTE will also be around to chat about union-related matters or whatever else is on your mind. In addition, this year’s Fenix Collegium award winner will be announced at the event!
Mara will be playing live music while pondering if you can save the world by playing guitar.
Tatte offers traditional Finnish May Day treats sima (“mead”) and vegan munkki (“doughnuts”) to everyone.
Welcome!
