About HUART
The Helsinki University Association of Researchers and Teachers, HUART, is a local trade union association for academic staff at the University of Helsinki. HUART was founded in 1967. Our members include researchers, PhD candidates, lecturers, and other academic and administrative professionals. With close to 1,600 members, HUART is the largest local association of the Finnish Union of University Researchers and Teachers (FUURT).
