SATY member – apply for a grant
The 2025 grant call is open from September 1 to September 15. Decisions on applications will be made at SATY’s October Board meeting. The budget for grants is 1,000 euros, and the maximum grant is 300 euros per applicant.
SATY awards grants for professional development to its members. Members can apply grants, for example, for further professional training, the promotion of well-being at work and work ergonomics, publication costs, or conference travel. SATY does not award grants for research work.
The board of SATY deliberates on the amount and size of the grants issued. Social and financial circumstances are taken into consideration when choosing the grantees. Especially applicants who are currently unemployed or working on a grant will be supported. The degree to which employed applicants can be supported with grants depends on the total number of applicants, the percentage of unemployed applicants, the size of the grants applied and the sum to be dispensed.
Recipients will be informed personally of the award decision and the grants awarded will be published on the SATY website. The grants will be paid in October–November.
The grant application is valid only during the grant call in question. The application that did not get funding can thus be sent again to the next application round, if the reasons to apply a grant remain the same.
How to apply
Fill in the grant application form that includes i.a. the following information: the purpose of the applied grant (what, where, when and why), the grant amount (up to 300€) and its proportion of the total costs, and the justification for the need for a grant. If necessary, the board may ask the grant applicant for additional information.
The application form should be sent as a pdf file to SATY Secretary saty.jarjestosihteeri[at]gmail.com.
Name the file as follows: SATY_grantapplication_surname_firstname
Please indicate “SATY Grant Application” as the subject of the email.
Please note that the grants are not paid retroactively. The trip or training for which the grant is awarded must be scheduled for the time period after the application round.
The grant can be awarded to a SATY member who has not received SATY’s grant within the last three years (starting from the autumn call 2022).
The Grant Call ends on September 15 at 23.59.
The grant recipient must report on the use of the grant in a free-form manner to the board within six months of using the grant.
