The Union of Research Professionals of  Jyväskylä

Welcome to the Union of Research Professionals of Jyväskylä!

The Union of Research Professionals of Jyväskylä (Jytte) is the local branch of the Union of Research Professionals. The Union of Research Professionals is a member of Akava, the Confederation of Unions for Professional and Managerial Staff in Finland.

Jytte is the union for those working in higher education in the Jyväskylä region. Jytte defends the role of scientific knowledge and promotes the interests of its members by protecting labor law, social benefits, and wages at the University of Jyväskylä. Jytte provides its members with employment-related help and support and looks after their well-being through regular recreational activities. The union is represented on the board and in different working groups of the Union of Research Professionals.

As a member of Jytte, you are not alone. We currently have around 800 members who are backed by the local branch and the entire union!
