SANCTUMS OF SCIENCE AND SCHOLARSHIP: FINNISH INSTITUTE FOR INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS

The Finnish Association of Academic Researchers SATY launched a new Sanctums of Science and Scholarship excursion series in 2022. The series involves visiting places of scientific work and actors who support science. Through the visits, we understand the significance of science for different societal spheres. The excursions also offer opportunities for multidisciplinary networking and professional development in good company.

The Sanctums of Science and Scholarship series continues after a break for our jubilee year. The next excursion will take place on Tuesday, 28 May at 15:30, at the Finnish Institute for International Affairs, located at Arkadiankatu 23 B, Helsinki. We will be introduced to the Institute by Deputy Director Mikael Mattlin and there will also be time for questions and comments. The event will last about an hour, and we will continue the discussion at the nearby beer restaurant, Vastarannan Kiiski. SATY will offer a drink to the participants.

SATY will compensate travel expenses to members coming outside of the Helsinki metropolitan area of up to 20 €, according to the most inexpensive means of transport and travel class. The expenses will be covered against receipt after the excursion.

Registration for the event is now open: https://forms.gle/X8UfZhh5fLaLjuwj8

The maximum number of participants is 30.
